Fatal Error During Installation Kaspersky Network Agent 10

I have had the same issues at both of the sites I manage. I upgraded both Kaspersky Security Centers to 11.0.0.1131 and then started trying to upgrade the Kaspersky Network Agent to 11.0.0.1131 and Kaspersky Endpoint Security to version 11.1.0.15919 for some of my workstations as a test. I never could get it running on the workstations and never could get them reporting back to the KSC. I didn't have time to fight it anymore, so I decided to go back to the older Network Agent. I had to totally uninstall the Network Agent 11.0.0.1131 and cleanup afterwards, reboot, then reinstall the 10.5.1781 agent along with the 11.1.0.15919 KES.

Fatal Error During Installation Kaspersky Network Agent 10

All is working now, but I am not using the Network Agent 11.0.0.1131 anywhere except on my Security Center machine.I couldn't find anything online on the web or the Kaspersky support site or communities about this, so that's why I decided to just revert back to what worked. I figure I will upgrade the Network Agents whenever Kaspersky decides to fix it or at least document what we need to do to get it working. Something else I have discovered:I did a basic reinstall like I posted above, but on one machine it stopped after 2 reboots and wouldn't come back. I ran the WSUS Offline updater to get all the updates caught up, did a basic reinstall again, and the network agent has now remained operational over the past 3 hours.I think there is a Windows 10 update out there somewhere that is required for the Network Agent to stay running - and apparently Windows Defender is also partially responsible for killing the service.Even though Windows Defender is supposed to disable itself if another AV product is present, it still interferes with the network agent. I have taken to GPO killing the Windows Defender services through a regedit now by directly editing the service startup type to be disabled. Every Windows 10 machine in my office that was having problems is now working.

Hm - OK - well, you probably see 10.2.434 in the Control Panel on the PC, correct? What I would do to check the version is run a version report on the KSC and check those versions there - its likely the sameAlso, if it is installed and can't connect, its likely due to a connection issue - here are the steps I take to work through this:If themachine can’t connect to the Security Center, run the klnagchk utility asdescribed in this document:This couldalso be related to the server address that the machine is trying to connect to,and it can’t find it. In this case, use the klmover utility as describedin this document:If needs be,reconfigure the Network Agent for the IP address of the server, then run theklnagchk utility again. Once the client can synchronize with the server, thekeys and policy will enforce. Finally, ifneither of these allow a connection to the server, confirm the ports betweenclient and server are open against the needed ports on this list, below:Hth,CharlieKL Presales Engineering. Sorry I forgot to mention the test steps I have done. I have run klnagcheck (it is reporting to the Administration Server's DNS name). I have also removed the workstation from the Security Center, rediscovered it by running the poll, and placing it in the correct group.

I let it sit over night to see if it would clear up the issue, but it hasn't. It is now showing that the network agent, and AV aren't installed. When I try to push the EP Security 10 with Network Agent, I get an error that an older version of the network agent is installed. Two things here1. If it isn't showing the Network Agent as connected, use the klvmover command at the command prompt to change the server address to the IP address - it sometimes clears up the issue2.

When installing onto a pre-existing Network Agent, open the task and go to Settings on the left and make sure the checkbox is cleared next to Do not install application if it is already installed, and that the checkbox next to Using Network Agent is the only one under the Force download of the installation package that is checked off.Let me know the result.Charlie.
